Kewpie Doll
Oh my. Just look at that adorable Kewpie Doll with military cap and full salute.Wouldn't that look great in your home, up on the mantle next to photographs of relatives in their Armed Services uniforms?
Or maybe you could place it on bookshelf, surrounded by American flag displays or other patriotic knick knacks.
According to About.com Doll Collecting: "The first Kewpie Dolls were produced in 1912, based on illustrations of Kewpies that appeared in Ladies Home Journal starting in 1909. The dolls that were produced were based on a sculpture by noted artist Joseph Callus."
Wikipedia states: "Their name, often shortened to "Kewpies", is derived from "cupid", the Roman god of beauty and – as Eros is the Greek version of Cupid – erotic love. The early dolls, especially signed or bisque, are highly collectible and worth thousands of dollars. The time capsule at the 1939 New York World's Fair contained a Kewpie doll. This particular style of doll was awarded as a carnival prize and often collected."
Hurry in and grab this while you can. It probably won't be homeless for very long.

Get Nostalgic with this Old Time Barber Chair
Here's a nostalgic item that would look great in any gentleman's basement, recreation room, or den. So many stories revolve around the old time barber shops, with their jar of scissors and combs being disinfected in the mysterious blue liquid Barbicide.
What did you read while waiting for your hair to be cut? Archie comics? Zane Grey western paperbacks? Look magazine?
Can you smell the baby powder in the brush as the barber tidies you up and brushes the cut hairs off your neck and shoulders?
Did your barber light a match, blow it out, then use the hot end to burn out your ear hairs? A barber in downtown Peoria used that technique.
Didn't you love the feel of that sharp razor against your skin around the ears and neck?
There was a barbershop in East Peoria that had an electric scalp massage machine that the barber would strap on his hand and give customers a soothing, relaxing head massage.
Find out how you can Smell Like an Old Time Barbershop.
You felt so fresh and sharp as you emerged from the barbershop, ready to go on that hot date or attend that job interview. Relive the memories with this old time barber chair!
