Chief Strong Portal door stop
Chief Strong Portal is one heckuva brave warrior. He's garnered his stern countenance in many trials and dangerous expeditions. Look at that serious facial expression. It is not cruel. It is not without generosity. Then again, it is wary. It is not without circumspection.
What is he looking at and pondering? He's inspecting your visitors as he keeps your door open by the very weight and gravity of his demeanor. If he sees someone suspicious, or detects the presence of malevolence, well -- let's just say, I feel sorry for them.
Here, at last, is the Native American warrior door stop that will keep your gateway propped open, but will also give an in-depth scrutiny to intruders and dubious guests. Chief Strong Portal will not let you be taken by surprise, scalped, or robbed. Not while he's on duty.
Your true friends and your blood relatives will appreciate the wisdom of such a noble and protective sentry.
Grab this Chief Strong Portal Indian head bust door stop now -- for it is not a common commodity and it certainly will not sit around collecting dust in the Hidden Treasures teepee.
Slip on your mocasins, hop on your steed, and gallop on over here today.
May the Great Spirit watch over you as you journey here to purchase this interesting and very beneficial item.

1955 Woodford County Plat book
Here's a great piece of history. A Woodford County Plat book from 1955.
What is a "Plat book"? you ask.
Wikipedia offers a good explanation:
QUOTE
A plat in the U.S. is a map, drawn to scale, showing the divisions of a piece of land. Other English-speaking countries generally call such a document acadastral map or plan.
U.S. General Land Office surveyors drafted township plats of Public Lands Surveys to show the distance and bearing between section corners, sometimes including topographic or vegetation information. City, town or village plats show subdivisions into blocks with streets and alleys.
Further refinement often splits blocks into individual lots, usually for the purpose of selling the described lots; this has become known as subdivision. After the filing of a plat, legal descriptions can refer to block and lot-numbers rather than portions of sections.
In order for plats to become legally valid, a local governing body, such as a public worksdepartment, urban planning commission, or zoning board must normally review and approve them.
END QUOTE
This Plat book of Woodford County would make a great conversation piece in your living room, den, guest bedroom, or recreation room. An interesting exhibit of what Woodford County was like back in the mid 50s.
